‘Bipartisan Biden’ Calls on Every Major News Outlet…Except Fox News

Joe Biden conducted his first formal news conference Thursday, during which he answered questions on key issues including COVID-19, the border crisis, the filibuster and China.

During the hour, he took questions from most mainstream media outlets, but perhaps the most notable part of the entire thing was what was missing: tough questions and Fox News.

The two may be considered interchangeable.

Considering Biden had not held a formal news conference with reporters until his 65th day as president, many in the media had been desperate to ask some pressing questions. But, reporters from conservative news outlets didn’t get the chance.

Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy was at the event, held in the East Room of the White House, but was not given a question.

“I definitely would have told the president to call on Peter Doocy,” Fox’s Dana Perino said. “Why make Peter Doocy a story? Just take his question and move on.”

Doocy said later from the White House lawn that he had a binder full of questions ready to roll, according to the Associated Press.

“Maybe next time,” he said.

Neither Newsmax nor One American News Network were given questions, either.

When President Trump held news conferences, not only would he take questions from all different outlets, he would often spar with reporters from the left-wing media while answering their questions, no matter how tough. Regardless, at least he gave them the time of day.

Since Biden calls himself bipartisan, the least he could’ve done was call on a conservative outlet to make his long-awaited press conference worthwhile.

Here are the news outlets that were called upon during the conference, per Deadline: Associated Press, PBS, Washington Post, ABC News, The Wall Street Journal, NBC News, CBS News, CNN, Bloomberg and Univision.
